Hood Canal Local Integrating Organization
(LIO)
HCCC is the Local Integrating Organization (LIO) for the Hood Canal area, designated under the Puget Sound Partnership‘s framework for Puget Sound recovery. As the LIO, HCCC works with its partners to develop, coordinate, and implement locally important ecosystem recovery actions aligned with the Hood Canal Integrated Watershed Plan, elevate Hood Canal priorities to inform regional Puget Sound recovery work in the Puget Sound Action Agenda, and support implementation of important projects to advance Hood Canal ecosystem recovery.

HCCC represents Hood Canal and its partners in various regional forums under the Puget Sound Partnership (PSP) structure and liaises with key partners in Action Agenda planning and implementation. More info on PSP Boards.

Strategic Initiative Leads (SILs)
The Puget Sound Strategic Initiative Leads (SILs) coordinate the strategic implementation of Puget Sound recovery priorities, including continued advancement of the Puget Sound Implementation Strategies for Habitat, Stormwater, and Shellfish, and administration of EPA Puget Sound Geographic Program funds.

SIL – Local Partner Engagement
The Strategic Initiative Leads are guided by Strategic Initiative Advisory Teams (SIATs) and the Stormwater SIL facilitates additional topical workgroups called Pods. Local perspectives in these groups are needed and important. If you are interested in participating in either a SIAT or Stormwater Pod, please contact the appropriate SIL or the Hood Canal LIO Coordinator (Haley Harguth).

Puget Sound Partnership Funding Support
PS RAFT: The Puget Sound Recovery Acceleration Funding Tool (PS RAFT) is a database of current funding opportunities including state and federal grants. It’s also a place to initiate collaboration on grants that integrate multiple priorities or requite coordination with a state government lead agency.
Strategic Funding Team at PSP provides resources and support, including coordination of large grant proposals or matching your project to the appropriate funding source, and grant writing support.
