HCCC is hosting a Local Forum at the Puget Sound Partnership’s Ecosystem Coordination Board meeting on May 7th, at the Skokomish Community Center. The Local Forum will be two hours of the all-day meeting, and will also include a site tour out to the Skokomish Estuary, hosted by the Skokomish Tribe (Local Forum agenda; full ECB meeting materials will be available here soon). Topics will include an overview of recovery efforts in Hood Canal – why we feel Hood Canal offers a unique opportunity to achieve ecosystem recovery, and will feature presentations from partners to highlight the important work going on; the second topic will feature a panel discussion on mitigation, and how HCCC and our partners are working to integrate it with ecosystem recovery through creative problem solving. Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting and it will also be streamed live on TVW (the link will be included in the ECB agenda, available soon).
